Gems So Bright

In your eyes, I see the sky
Shrouded deep in mist
Then revealed to show your heart
In it, heaven's kiss
As the light now graces
I long that you see mine
To hold what cannot capture
They seek, but do not find
Waters of the ocean tide
Captured in your grace
In them, light cannot escape
Beauty holds its place
Do not shut them idly, dear
May they stay in sight
Keep them looking toward the light
The shining gems so bright
