Gem of a Believer
Gem of a believer
Gathered as one family during meals
reminds me of my own blood family
where we share almost everything
food, facilities, books, and many others.
Our relationship grows through thick and thin;
fulfilling our tasks in varied ways
makes us aware of our interconnectedness
that our vision leads us to one thing –
Christ, our model to carry on our mission.
Being called to serve in today’s world
quite a big deal, a mystery to fathom.
with optimism and openness to others
enables to welcome them with a humble spirit.
Isn’t it a trinitarian episode to keep?
while we allow everyone to seek God’s love
through our presence with them in words and deeds.
We bring to full birth within us –
that dialogue of cultures and a listening heart;
it’s a valuable asset to keep them alive
in our community where differences are evident.
We see in depth as we walk through them,
embodied in our experiences – a trove of differences;
indeed, a challenge, a great deal to face
day-by-day, there’s always something to say
and even to learn in the context of meaning.
Yes, the world may stand still amid the ripples of sufferings,
in the fabric of today’s humane dwelling place
where each shares Christs’ sacred Word in situations
incarnated in the flesh and blood; gestating in life
with the heart and mind combined to transform us.
In the book of Life where we learn God’s love for us,
such an inspiring tone of who we are to Him as his own people;
we’re blessed and privileged to take part in today’s world
because we’re still loved and cared for no matter what,
by certain people and God Himself who knows us well.
