Gavotte and Gavotte Not

There are those who gavotte and those who gavotte not. Sigh, I remain firmly among the latter but would gladly trade my final year of days to promenade stately across the floor or better still to nail a fade-away three winning the game just before the buzzer.

Dear DW, (One Rodgers to Another Rodgers) Your poem dances with wit and longing. The contrast between those who gavotte and those who don't is palpable, yet your desire to trade moments for a chance at different experiences shines through. Your words evoke a sense of yearning and the bittersweetness of missed opportunities. Excellent Poem! - Blessings, Daniel H Rodgers

Thanks Daniel good to come across another "d" Rodgers. This was scribbled long ago after a CBC radio announcer commented on the gavotte as a lost dance form.
