Gleam
As snow
Rich deep white…
Divine sweet scent!
Enticed, I inhale…
Nights heaven sent
In moon bright
As glow
Streams

Late on Congratulating you! What a stunning Ninette! Gardenias are my favorite. When I lived in SF and they sold flowers on street corners, I bought one..once or twice a week. Then floated it, in water. The whole house filled with that scent. I wear Jungle Gardenia cologne. It’s really awesome! Keep penning your delightful verses! Scentfully,)) Pangie xx

Thank you Pangie! They are my fave and I actually wrote a poem about the first time i saw one years ago..that’s awesome floating them in water to scent the home..i used to find gardenia scents before but they seem to have stopped making them now.. my son gifted me a plant and i had it in a pot on my steps and someone walked off with it one night!

I like these little lovelies, too. Wish I had read this piece back in May when Spring was filling the air with all its delicious aromas. Ah, well...better late than never, n'est-ce pas?

They seem to be summer bloomers over here but definitely better coz they carry on the scenting when the early ones are done :)

You have captured the fragrant essence of the gardenia perfectly! There is no other scent like it. They are like a bit of creamy moonlight on a stem! Congratulations on your win Susan. Hope you are staying cool in the heat of the valley! Blessings.

Hi Sam! Thank you :) Love your creamy moonlight on a stem! Yes, white flowers on moonlit nights are special but when they are scented as well, it’s extra-special… I’m getting ready to head north to Shasta then Eureka to escape the heat…Hope all is well with you in the Bay :)
