Galactic Guesses

The cosmos baffles all train of thought,
Though man has extended his reach and he has sought.
Telescopes now peer up at distant stars,
While spacecrafts are sent to our neighboring planet Mars.

When the sun sets no longer are we in darkness,
For it is electricity which we harness.
Powering all forms of robotic life,
We have eased this world of strife.

Though still we are specks on a rock,
Having a tome of wisdom we can't unlock.
We have a lot of theories but little proof,
It's like we built a brick house without a roof.

In this galactic Easter egg hunt,
Seekers of truth are at the front.
For they better understand the mystery,
Which has hindered mankind for all of history.

When I slumber beneath the gravel,
What secrets will future generations unravel?
Will we find another home?
Or is Earth the only place to roam?

Perhaps we will encounter other life,
Or maybe we will go on dates with our android wife.
Could we prove that there was a creator?
Debunking the view of the atheist hater.

Eradicating the nonsense is critical,
That way we can prance around and be analytical.
Hopefully one day we can operate at full throttle.
But right now we're just clenching our bottle.
