Gainesville
You're going back to Gainesville,
which
I think is very brave.
They tied our hands and made us
dance their dance.
We were prisoners of a smear
war
who voluntarily walked the
plank.
But now that the she-devil has
given up the reins, our
exits may not have been in vain.
You, stepping up at home
plate
and me, pretending not to care when
my mom came home bearing
the news
that you said you want me there.
