Future of Begging

Oh please kind sir would you have a dollar but to spare?
I haven’t eaten in a week and hunger, do you care?
My children, they are dirty and their clothes are tattered, true
My wife, she sleeps there in the gutter, what else is there to do?
My house it was foreclosed upon when I had lost my wage
The market proved the enemy and left us in a rage
The things we counted most upon were the first things then to go
And left us living in the street in the heat and winter’s snow.
So, please kind sir would you have a dollar but to spare?
For if you tell me to go off I’d have to ask you, where?

So sad in it's truth for too many. Perfect rhyme and flow. Love, Shar

A bleak tale so true for many...so very sad, and not as far off as I'd like to say this is. Love Kristin
