Fun That Ended Too Soon

He went out for fun that night
Before he realized something wasn’t right
With a blink if an eye 
he was thrown to the side
Now covered in blood 
He knew what he had done
With the wails of the sirens 
Makes this more reality for him
Now each day waking up
Never to feel his touch again
Reaching for the phone
Then realizing he wont be home
I close my eyes to think
As the tears start to come 
I realize what I’ve become
