Notes About The Poem

A notable occurrence of nature; the summer solstice with a full moon.

Full Moon On Summer Solstice

Full Moon on Summer Solstice

Full moon on Summer Solstice
For this year is a delight
The full moon will be shining
Extending longest day to night

Full moon and sun both visible
At the same time in the sky
Try your best today to see them
Likely not a chance another try

Rare indeed this happening
The next a life away
Won't be again 'til '94
Full moon and longest day
