Frozen In Time

Freezing tongue, oh my head! What I wouldn't give to be back there instead. Standing on the chair, watching , waiting, anticipating. Please pick me, please pick me, oh wait , there are two. One for me one for you. She hands me mine, Ha-Ha, I'm first! Licking , tasting, still in heaven, even if the order were reversed. So as I lick this creamy frozen delight, reality awakens the senses, Taking me back to the party that night, licking the cake batter, So many memories. I close my eyes and go back to that place. Frozen in time, My mind will never erase...

Jodie, your poem reminded me how much I loved ice cream and licking the cake batter when I was a kid. Have to admit, though, I still love both. Thanks for the memories. Best wishes, Carolyn
