From Your Little Girl
Daddy, Daddy, why is it
You can’t see? I don’t
Understand why it’s so hard for
You to love me for me. More than
Anything that’s what I want. For
You to look past all the flaws and
Still be proud of me. I bleed for you
And you won’t even look, don’t
Care enough even to see. What more
Do you want? To raise my arms
And say I’m wrong? I know my
Daddy’s not there anymore,
I know that he’s gone. All that’s
Left is a ghost, and I think
What I miss most is that
My daddy loved me, my daddy
Cared. When I needed him, my
Daddy was there. I look for him
Now but he’s not there anymore.
