From Nowhere

I came from land of nowhere
My history is a silent mystery

I look in the mirror to find a resemblance
But all around me I see a difference

I was found in a bundle all wrapped up and curled
I wonder about the woman who brought me into the world

Tears well up into my eyes
When I think I was left on the roadside

It is a miracle I have survived
But to know what? The truth about my life?

I hope that when I am done with this earth
I’ll meet up with God and the one who gave me birth.
