From My Mind To Yours

Her body lay listless but I saw her move.
When nothing happens, nothing do you lose?
With all in this world, she was all that's left.
I swear I sung to her but not a breath.

For I was mute with nothing to say.
My mind in a trance with no care for fate.
How long I thought would this silence last?
Compelled by her I had to steal a glance.

She still lay listless there she did stay.
From my crime, what price shall I pay?
But relief blew a sigh ending my dismay.
I seen her smile...for life was hard but all-in-all a good day.
