From Glamour To Dump
We are on somber mood,
we have gone from glamor to dump;
smiles over ice cream cones, over
pizza and Pepsi
are no longer
in symmetry
with actual reality.
From glamour to dump,
we have fallen from grace;
rejecting what held us
together and strong.
We turn a blind eye:
all we witness
is a pathetic lie!
Can democracy survive in hearts
without a patriotic flame?
Should we be the ones
to take the blame?
It's our choice
not to be tamed!
We are the brave, the pioneers,
the builders, the innovators,
the thinkers and the defenders
of liberty:
let this be
our testimony!
From glamor to dump is humiliation
to the bold spirit,
and to the pride of this nation
that has thrived
and survived wars;
fear is a coward that hides:
courage is a virtue and won't bow
to the menacing sword!
