From Days To Nights

Days turned into nights
Warm nights turned into cold ones
Smiles turned into stiff faces
Coffee then, now cold beer
With cold conversations.
Giggles turned into heavy sighs,
Arms no longer open wide
Sweet gasps then, now sniffs and sobs
Both with teary eyes.
Closed doors, empty words
United then, now consumed by pride
Days turned into nights.
