From Dawn till Dusk
now
awake
golden eye
your sparkling touch
ordering our world
blessing the children's lips
with smiles and brazen lingo
fostered by their faith in daylight
housebound plants scramble to savor it
some orphan who hears their mother's voice
turns back to be reacquainted
but the corps of infant feet
withdraw as tame shadows
in a blinking eye
darkness covers
like cats pounce
ceasing
preys
