From Cocoon To a Butterfly
From a cocoon to a butterfly,
I am transformed for heaven.
Just when it seems life is over,
A new immortal life I’m given.
What happens to me on earth
Is totally up to God,
So I’ll remain surrendered
To the path He wants trod.
If I should die here,
God gives me a new life.
He knows that I trust Him,
Through good times and strife.
When in the cocoon
It seems all is lost.
But then I’m a butterfly,
Transformed at God’s cost.
From a cocoon to a butterfly
Is a journey of unknown.
Faith is what’s needed
To receive wings like a crown.
I surrender each breath
To my Father up above;
Just like the butterfly,
Depend upon His wisdom and love.
So when in the cocoon
Just be patient and still.
For soon you’ll be a butterfly
With such freedom to fill.
You’ll know the joy
Of love and great peace.
Trust God for the process;
Your wings of freedom to release.
