From Both Sides

It's easy to not be able to see to simply claim you didn't realize
I could often say that was me as I didn't want to open my eyes
So much time would pass by as I barely even seemed to notice
For when you are living a lie it's always JESUS you seem to miss

But I already knew His Name and I was well aware of His Story
I could not see my own shame but also, I couldn't see His Glory
Yet He carried me all the way, though never was I so unworthy
So I certainly did know such a day when I too just couldn't see

But as He was carrying me I felt His love for me so deep inside
For suddenly I stated to see that it was for me that Jesus died
All that pain and such suffering for me I broke down and cried
A God who died to set us Free always walking there by our side

Now I can see it all so very clear though I used to be over there
As I too didn't have any fear, but of many things I was unaware
Now I simply know to fear not in the simple seeing of His Word
So in these words that I jot I hope there's something you heard

Ephesians 3:4
“Whereby, when ye read,
ye may understand my knowledge
in the mystery of Christ)”
