Frightful Night

I grab my lance, and my Steed is readily near, the thoughts of those I loved, and what I'm fighting for. Love and Live and I must fight, To get the prize I seek. But on this frightful night, The one I must fight is me. But I get on my steed and ride down this hill. With Courage and Faith, I Strike with this Steed, one fear down then another, and another again. Till all that is left is me, but the biggest one of all, has to come along, and I can not face it alone. The Fear of not knowing What will happen, Until it comes, But I know with Faith and Love, I grab my Sword and Shield. Racing toward this Fear, I shall strike him down, But time is all I need.

This is an excellent poem about courage. And when you win against your greatest fear, you might just become a knight in shining armor. I enjoyed reading your poem. Welcome to Poetry Soup.
