Friendship's Bookcase
I love the friendships I find
that take root in the fruit of the mind;
words we share, disclosing our hearts,
beautiful gifts of emotion impart.
Like a wine, long aged and fine,
distilled vintage of very best vine,
we join together now to share
what we learned while walking Life's thoroughfare.
Your road is different than mine,
sometimes stormy, sometimes sunshine,
but when we greet each other here,
we multiply laughter and divide tears.
CHORUS
Meet me anytime,
with a poem - prose or rhyme,
our writings to place
in friendship's sweet bookcase.
