Friendships

I remember when first we met,
the way only little kids are able.
Oh, the memories we've had
but now it seems we're not so stable.
When first it all began
we weren't the most perfect of friends
but time carries it's own magic.
How such trembling friendships can transcend.
Yet, as it seems the case
what time can once weave,
it can then also make to come undone
leaving each in turn to grieve.
I fear here is our unweaving
fraying from times strong tide
are you to go your way, and I mine?
It's hard to picture aspects without you alongside.
