Friendship Insecure
First, we believe in the each other,
but odds are that misconstrued whispers would play tricks...
Taunt
Dawn breaks as we flounder in the misery of our thoughts
Letting go of reality, struggling to reclaim it from the sun...
Gaunt
Sleeping and waking
Dreaming of expressions blank on faces
Missing the point of conversations
Insecure, we are haunted in our respective places
Forget not the days of innocence
before we questioned such a beautiful concept
The idea of unbreakable bonds
Now seems so overtly insane to have kept
Fly away dear companion
Jump the clouds
Find freedom from me
Touch down on distant dust mounds
Forget if you must
be absent in body, spirit and mind
Trust only these things
I still believe, am present and leave no friend behind
