Friendship For Two

Laughing and playing, writing letters and talking together
You are the type of friend I would love to be with forever
The smile on your face from across the crowded room
I’m glad that we will be out of this hellhole real soon
The jokes told, the tears cried, and the way we laugh
The way you help me stay strong like a wooden staff
You keep me sane and even, especially when I’m sad
This friendship’s for two and for that I am really glad
