Friendship

The friends we care for deeply We do not truly know Until there comes a trial Which forces us to grow And in our worst despairs, Our greatest fears and pains, With us, in these, they share, Inspiring us to rise again In matters large and small, Through wounded feelings deep, In little unimportant squalls, Their company we keep If there is purpose in this life Few things can be more true Than those who come to understand The heart concealed in you.
