Notes About The Poem
I was asked to write a poem about friendship by one of my oldest friends. This lady has been a power of strength in my life and unselfishly gives her all I have tried to summon up what our friendship means to me
Friendship
To make friends with someone is
to start a new adventure.
You can find good friends in unlikely places
and when you least expect to.
Friendship is the art of caring
and also of giving freely in return.
There is a sense of wellbeing as
you awake and remember you meet today.
A chance to catch up and share gossip
to connect again with each other.
A good friend is one of the biggest treasures
that one can have and needs nurturing.
I value highly my friends to the extent
that I will drop everything to help them.
Or just to be there as their shoulder
when they need someone to lean on.
Friendship is especially about bad times
knowing your friend will come through for you.
Never underestimate the power of friendship
everything else is just daily details.
