Friendship

Happy days and far gone times

Live on forever in our minds

We travel back and visit them

Living all of them once again.

For us there were many days

Sharing is what made them great

Each of us had our trevails

We told each other of our tales.

We helped each other to get through

By being there and being true

For friendship is not a passing thing

Not just a thought not just a fling.

It is a bond not readily bestowed

It's not a debt that is owed

It is a gift given only to those

Whose common committment we uphold

I am proud to call you my friend

I stand committed to the end

For wherever life takes we two.

Know I'll always stand with you
