Friendship

A true friend is extremely hard to find
For most, not a single one comes to mind
Whatever comes, true friends are there
Not obligation, but because they care
Treachery to friends hasn’t occurred
So you don’t have to guard each word
Confidences real friends don’t betray
And so never repeat things you say
Friends will always put up a fight
To one who casts you in a bad light
Friends will tell you what is truly best
Not just uncaringly agree like the rest
But even when you make some mistake
They will still care for your own sake
Many acquaintances most of us can name
But not many true friends & that’s a shame
