Friendship

Does a friendship end when someone passes from this life?
When you remember walking together through times of strife?
That last hug is still clear in your mind
and touches your heart that feels left behind
Can love last forever, even when time marches on?
Or will it end when both lives on earth are done?
Since I believe in heaven, I don't think that is true
I think we will be reunited in heaven, me and you!

I will miss you until then, my friend!

Hello Kathleen, Excellent poem. It is tough to lose a friend/family member but knowing that we will meet them again in heaven where we will be together in eternity is wonderful

It is bittersweet. I know she is fine now but my life has a large hole in it! Thanks for reading!
