Friends...Forever?

We laugh together.
We cry together.
We are happier together.
Our friendship means the world to me,
but is it going to last
forever?

Will we ever swing on our swing
sets or play in our
sand boxes again?
Will our childhood memories
still be remembered?

When we make the
big money and move
out of town, will we still
call each other every night?
Will we still be friends
for the rest of our lives
like we swore we would
be in the eighth grade?

Will we be eighty years old
sitting in our nursing
home laughing about all of
our "remember when's...?"

Will the promises and secrets
we made still be kept?
Will we wish we could
go back in time to
make our friendship
bigger and better?

Will we be
friends...forever?
