Friends Forever

You said we would
Be friends 'til the end.
We agreed that we would
Stay friends no matter what.

Now we fight,
There seems no way out.
It hurts to see you hurt.
I see you hurt yourself,
I don't know what to do.

I tried to help,
At first it seemed to help.
You helped me realize,
Your pain isn't just skin deep.

I still see your pain.
It appears not as much.
I'm happy to see you smile, though.

Once more you helped me realize,
You still hurt.
Still, I'm happy to see you smile.
I see we are still friends,
Even though we've been through so much.
I'm happy to know that we are still friends forever.
