Friendly Imperfections

Friendly imperfections

give me a smile and a wink
and I'll tell you what I think
sometimes I feel weak
other times I feel strong
I am good at writing words
when I speak they come out wrong

look straight into my eye
and i will tell you why
I'm prone to make mistakes
though i mean nobody pain
a victim of my flaws
so cloudy eyes must rain

give my hand a good firm grip
move it up'n down just like a ship
hold no grudge or no regret
these words I say sincere
I'd gladly call you friend
if you forgive me for your tear
