FRIEND IN CHRIST
What is this, what is this, what is this, I have one friend
Who’s closer to me than my brother?
Closer to me than my mother
Closer to me than my sister, my father
Who is He, Christ Jesus my Lord and King, my friend?

Means to me friend in Christ
Jesus is a friend to me

Jesus is a friend in Christ, He’s a friend to me
I wanna be, I wanna be a friend in Christ
Jesus is, oh yes He is a friend, a friend is Christ,
You are my friend in life
I think twice about you each and every day, every night
A friend in Christ that’s what you are doesn’t matter how close or how far
Don’t wanna be just another surface dweller
I wanna set my place up in heaven
Ooh, oooh oh
I wanna be your friend forever and ever for all eternity
Don’t wanna be caught up in religiosity
I wanna respect my brothers and sisters with Christ curiosity
I wanna love them like the Book says (bible)
I wanna help them like Jesus would
I wanna be there for them on earth
As the Father is for us in heaven
How can I love Jesus when my fellowman I see, him I hate
Don’t wanna be caught then shut out of the gates (of glory)
Don’t wanna be caught up in religiosity
I wanna respect my brothers and sisters with Christ curiosity
I wanna love them like the Book says (bible)
I wanna help them like Jesus would
I wanna be there for them on earth
As the Father is for us in heaven
I’m your friend in Christ
No matter if you’ve been wrong or right
Think bout Christ day and night
Soon we’ll all be caught up in mere flight
I wanna be yours, your friend I am your friend
