French Fries

A giant portion of French fries Can make a meal auspicious, So crisp and yum but, no surprise, Not really too nutritious. Of course, I have to recognize This choice is not judicious But it is worth ballooning thighs For something so delicious.

I never thought crisps were delicious, which is why I haven't eaten any for many, many years. I thought it was just the salt, but as you go for a walk every morning, don't worry about your thighs! Aloha!

Fries are the hardest thing to give up on a diet, for me anyway... great ode to a delicious non-nutricious staple of life - love your rhymes!

Or onion rings, they might be worse. The best things in the universe. But Saturn’s rings do not compare, for gravity, far weaker there than where those onions quickly race, encircle my expanding waist.

Lol, cycling and walking prevents my thighs ballooning and we now cook them in an air fryer. Tom

What a fun poem! The line about ballooning thighs made me giggle and made me glad we rarely eat fries/chips and when we have them we share them:-) hugs Jan xx
