Freedom of Death

So many I see bowed in pain,
The loss of the loved one
seems to overwhelm,
the pain is indescribable

no matter how many you may lose
every loss is different,
depending on how you treasured them

but then I came to realize that while I was in mourning
My dead loved one was free

free from pain and suffering
and I thought I would let them be

now while I still mourn the loss
I feel the joy to celebrate instead

what they meant to me
for at least they are at peace,
Finally they are free.
