Freedom Isn'T Free
Hello brave soldier, I hope to find you well,
I know you have scars and stories to tell,
" Freedom isn't free," there is a price to pay,
Soldiers know that truth while they battle each day,
Serving our country in lands unknown,
Leaving their loved ones and departing from home,
War is not for everyone it takes a brave soul,
I'd like to share my gratitude for you being so bold,
Courage and honor both admirable traits,
Risking your life, no matter, the stakes,
People often question the purpose of the war,
To a soldier it's their country they stand for,
To me it's irrelevant what's right and wrong,
Just know I send my prayers and keep standing strong!
