Freedom At Last
Time waits for no man
A very true quotation
When you are young
Time has no limitations
Summer days seem endless
Time to stand and stare
Time did not matter
There was lots of it to spare
Spare time, what is that
I should like to know
I find life today so busy
Is it because I've become slow
My mind is never still
I want to shout out STOP!
I have much to do
Before I slowly DROP
It's not worth wondering
What should I have done
Would, should or could
To me is a conundrum
Opportunities not given
Some I could have had and lost
Too shy, not daring enough
All at a cost
A cost of what? The life I've had
Was given to me
Whether the gift was good or bad
Genes, circumstance, time and place
All come into this equation
I accepted this gift intact
There was no way of an erasion
Making the best of things
While I am here on Earth
Trusting that I will get my wings
That will provide FREEDOM and REBIRTH
