Freedom

A song came on the radio, bringing me back in time
The return of many thoughts, I cannot cover in this rhyme
Primarily it was freedom, as my mind brought me to years ago
Freedom I took for granted, for these present things I didn’t know
The loss of freedom is real and something we must fight for
Today is certainly not what it was then, our fabric is now tore
It is what we must face, connect the thread and sew once more
Bring us back what we lost, One Nation under God is our core

Freedom and unity--two of the most powerful sentiments! Reflective write, Heidi, reminiscing in the past, when the world was lot more civil.

Every day I notice governments chipping away at our freedom. They're very clever how they do it too, creeping in the back door, and before you know it we've lost anothet bit of our freedom. Hope you're well Heidi, hope you have a lovely weekend. Tom
