Free To Be Me

Free To Be Me and do what I please,
Life can be subtle, like a seashore breeze.

Free To Be Me, to spread my wings and fly.
Paradise awaits me, when I say goodbye.

Free to be me, life won't always go as planned.
But our God in heaven, is quick too understand.

Free to be me and wallow in the wind swept grass.
As God's presence stirs in me, my life will be surpassed.

Free To Be Me, through creation to the great departure, I am home.
Free To Be me, where joy and exuberance are everywhere you roam.

Hi, Wayne. Enjoyed your poem. I suppose that the pursuit of freedom is man's greatest and noblest quest. Seems God made all his creatures that way. Keep flying my friend and being you, because no one but you can be a better you.

Tu so much for the read, I appreciate that. Fell in love with poetry the first time I put deep meaningful words on paper. Still a novice, hoping to branch out and do some different forms of it.
