Free Flight

Two birds on a wire
testing each other's fire
The lights of the airport
pass before my weary eyes

Sifting out where my future lies
Evaluating my current ties

We run to keep up
holdin' feelings inside
Reaching out in our lives

Holding each other tightly
In our weary souls
trying to fill in the wholes

Holding out our hearts
looking for a fresh start

Holding each other's hand
Wondering why the other has not ran
