Free As a Bird

"Don't call me. I'll call you." Not an easy thing to not do. But it must be your lucky day cause you've got your way. When we met I should have known you weren't really full grown. In your hand you held my heart but you wanted another part. I gave it freely and now you're gone, gone with the wind you blew in and out on. Now you're free as the bird that sat in my tree, free as the bird that flew away from me. So fly away, fly away, fly away free. You're free as a bird just like me. Being free is not all it's cracked up to be. Sure it looks nice on paper but inside you are ripped to shreds. Very sad feeling Carole.
