Free
Everyone likes something free
And I agree, to some degree,
But sometimes it occurs to me
We’re better off without it.
For if that item seems to be
A freebie, there may be a fee
Or postage; there’s no guarantee,
For fine print doesn’t shout it.
Still, when something’s gratis, we
Can’t pass it up and that’s the key;
When it is offered, we say, “Gee,
Well, thanks!” and don’t you doubt it.
