Listen to poem:

Franky Doodle Poodle

Franky Doodle bought a poodle, but the deal went wonky
Went back to the pet shop and said, That there dog’s a Donkey!

Fetch the donkey from my car,
Get a poodle handy
That’s no poodle in my car…
Have you been at the Brandy?

The pet shop owner said, Don’t come here, talking tough and spunky,
If you think that dog’s an ass, then you must be a junkie.”

Fetch the donkey from my car,
Get a poodle handy
That’s no poodle in my car…
Have you been at the Brandy?

Franky Doodle said, Is this your customer relations?
The pet shop owner said, I’m sorry, we don’t sell Alsatians.

Fetch the donkey from my car,
Get a poodle handy
That’s no poodle in my car…
Have you been at the Brandy?

Franky Doodle said, You're deaf… your hearing aid is broken,
And you’re half blind so you can’t lip-reed any word I’ve spoken.

Fetch the donkey from my car,
Get a poodle handy
That’s no poodle in my car…
Have you been at the Brandy?

The pet shop owner said, But Sir, my donkeys don’t do rushing.
Franky Doodle frowned. I said, A dog that don’t need brushing!

Fetch the donkey from my car
Get a poodle handy
That’s no poodle in my car…
Have you been at the Brandy?
