Frail
Weary eyes gazed to the sky.
Pleading for the sun to beam a hope of comfort.
Mind wandering in the midst of wind.
As to why he was paying for his father’s sin.
Petite hands trembling.
As he fumbled in bewilderment.
Skinned down to the naked bone.
A feeble body diminishing suddenly,
amongst a memory leisurely deteriorating.
With only the remembrance of purple leaves.
