Fragrance of a Dream

I love my verses bare..

The fear of loneliness that calls for the tears

Often deludes the want for pain,

I blink my eyes to the jesting rain..

And wonder here and wonder there:

If life was just a better affair,

Would I be a queen ruling my heart?

Or a slave to the unseen, worlds apart..

The smile that baits my happiness close,

And rob the Gods dead, morose..

I wonder here and wonder there:

Will the waves ever take me away?

To the land of the mystique, happy and gay,

I’d frisk and sing and care much less

I’d have to talk and give to bless;

The hours that kiss my rickety soul

With soundless rhythms of Christmas carol..

I wonder here and wonder there:

Can I ever love the one I hate?

Share the tales and pity fate..

I’d love to wonder…here and there,

That I’d find the answers in the verses, bare.
