Fragments of a Lost Soul

From my lost soul, what can be retrieved?
Is my life finished yet untold?
Are you real or have I been deceived?

I'm struggling but will my pain recede?
In this art of life must one be bold?
From my lost soul, what can be retrieved?

I am proud and I won't ever plead
Though my heart's aching and icy cold,
Are you real or have I been deceived?

Am I worthy, what about my deeds?
Into whose mind must my heart unfold?
From my lost soul, what can be retrieved?

I did not show any sign of greed
I don't own silver nor any gold,
Are you real or have I been deceived?

Starting today, whose hands shall I hold?
Give me a soul that I can behold
From my lost soul, what can be retrieved?
Are you real or have I been deceived?
