Fragile Or Not
on the outside I'm a diamond
my edges cut through glass
I am up for the challenges
rally to each task
I make the decisions
and stand by each one
I shoot from the hip
my aim is right on
inside I am soft, fragile as a pearl
lustrous I shine, but easily break
that's why I don't let very many get close
they will see the charade, and then it's too late
perfect I'm not...never claimed to be
I don't mean to maim others
and won't let them maim me
I tell you this first, as it all begins
you are one of the few, that I'm letting in
