Fragile Hopes

Frail hands shrink leaking fragile hopes
of drenched dreams that sailed on rivers of imperfection
as blue shadows suspend the scene in an attempt to cure the moment trying to renew and
restore the dampened passion and vision
while the essence of its faint caressing flashes stall in delay for liberation
patiently waiting for the day this sunken thirst of fallibility will be revived quenched
but to no avail
instead the dream is unveiled tainted, soiled and shattered with fragile hopes, shivering
limp
and pleading for deliverance………

You have a unique style, Johnny. The struggle you describe here has universal appeal. Nicely done! Best Wishes, Carolyn
