Fragile Crickets

A thousand fragile crickets
mindlessly lost in dreams and song.
Swollen with dark intrinsic fevers
in a place where well kept secrets crouch.

One of my favorite memories of my grandmother's house in Hometown, Pa. was lying awake at night and listening to the crickets. Thanks, Thielus.
