Fragile

Life and death.
Between,
a thin gap lies-
fragile, and weak.

A mistaken footstep
leads to
the end of breathing.
The wildest dreams-
shattered;
The brightest amber-
crushed;
The purest spring-
contaminated.

Life and death,
all I can say
is this-
Such differences
can be made,
with just a
thin
line's
break.

This is excellent and so true. I love how the last line works here and the emphasis placed on the last three words by the spacing. Enjoyed your other poems too!!
