Fragile

Beautiful porcelain baby,
falling to the floor.
Scattered pieces of shattered dreams,
stripped from your core.
Memories cast black shadows,
on your fallen grace.
Desecrated figure, lies
in soiled white lace.
Tarnished by your absence,
remains a stable base.
Unadorned by your presence,
stands a rustic case.
Forgotten porcelain baby,
wedged between the cracks.
Listen, a clock ticks on,
time will never turn back.

Hello Annette ... as we go about our daily lives we do not realize how fragile life can be when tragedy occurs for example; earthquakes; tornadoes; volcanoes; storms - thanks again Annette - Lindsay

Life is fragile and time is precious, we must cherish every moment we have. Nicely written, Annette. Hugs, John

I agree, every moment is precious. Sometimes we learn the hard way, but the important thing is we learn. John, thank you?
